With the new ACC programmes now in place, it is clear to see that the Government is seeking to promote safer work places in New Zealand. They are hoping to do this by developing a strong Health and Safety commitment among employers.
The standards developed by the ACC programmes are closely allied to the Accident Insurance Act 1998, and the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 (and amendments) as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems NZS4801.
